National Commercial Bank Limited has provided Rs 3 crore for the rescue and relief of citizens affected by the flood in Bhotekoshi river in Rasuwa. The bank has deposited the amount in the Prime Minister's Disaster Relief Fund established by the Government of Nepal as part of its corporate social responsibility. Chairman of the board of directors of the bank on Thursday. Finance Minister Dr. Suman Dahal. Handed over a check of Rs 3 crore to Swarnim Wagle. Members of the bank's board of directors, chief executive officer, deputy chief executive officer, company secretary and other employees participated in the check handing event.

Along with Bhotekoshi, due to floods in Trishuli river, Rasuwa, Nuwakot, Dhading, Gorkha and Chitwan districts have suffered huge loss of life. Many citizens have gone missing due to the flood and the resulting calamities, while rescue and relief operations are ongoing in the affected areas. The bank has provided financial support through the Prime Minister's Divine Disaster Relief Fund with the aim of providing relief, food, temporary housing and other necessary humanitarian aid to the flood-affected families.

The National Commercial Bank expressed its condolences to the local and foreign citizens who lost their lives during the disaster and wished for speedy rescue and treatment of the missing and injured. Also, the bank has expressed its deepest condolences to the disaster-affected communities.
