The government has started a special initiative to restore communication services and resume power supply in the flood-affected areas of Rasuwa. According to the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, portable mobile towers equipped with generators and solar power are being sent to the affected areas to restore disrupted communication services. In addition, a backup power system will be provided for the time being in places where power supply is interrupted.
According to the ministry, the rescue operation by helicopter is continuing to make the rescue and relief work more effective. So far, around 10 flights have been completed to rescue the affected citizens and transport essential materials. The government has already made it clear that medical equipment, tents and other necessary relief materials have been delivered to the affected areas.
The Ministry has earnestly requested the citizens to remain calm and restrained at this time of crisis. Also, it is requested not to believe in rumors spread through social media or other informal means and to rely only on information from official sources.
