Surkhet, 16 August. Karnali Pradesh Assembly MPs have decided to deposit the relief money for the Bhotekoshi flood victims in the Prime Minister's Divine Disaster Relief Fund. The Nepali Communist Party has collected an amount equivalent to 15 days' salary in the Karnali Provincial Assembly, which has 40 members. Chief whip Krishna Ji informed that three lakh 26 thousand rupees were collected from 13 MPs of CPN.
2 lakh 25 thousand support of Karnali Congress MP for Bhotekoshi flood victims Nepali Congress MPs representing in Karnali State Assembly have collectively contributed 225 thousand rupees for the relief and rescue of citizens affected by Bhotekoshi flood. Likewise, the CPN-UML, which has ten members of parliament, has also deposited the amount to be collected in the fund at the rate of fifteen thousand.
According to Jeet Bahadur Malla, who is also the Social Development Minister, 150,000 was collected from the UML MP. RPP MP Santoshi Shahi and Pragatisheel Democratic Party MP, former Chief Minister Rajkumar Sharma are yet to decide. On the other hand, the Karnali state government is also going to deposit money in the fund today. For that, the Council of Ministers is meeting now. According to Minister Malla, a decision will now be taken on depositing the amount in the fund.
