The Government of India is going to rebuild the Tribhuvan Trishuli Secondary School, which was completely damaged by the sudden flood of Rasuwa. Naveen Srivastava, the Indian ambassador to Nepal, while talking to the principal of the school, Rajendra Dawadi, promised the support of the Indian government in rebuilding the school that was damaged by the flood. Due to last week's floods, the school building in Trishuli Bazar at Vidur in Nuwakot was completely washed away. Principal Dawadi managed to move the students to a safe place before the flood, but there was no loss of life in the school building.
Tribhuvan Trishuli Secondary School's association with India is old. During the construction of the Trishuli hydroelectric project in the 1950s, the school was established with Indian assistance. Later, the new building of the school was also constructed in 2022 under the HICDP program of the Government of India. However, the building was completely washed away by a devastating flood within a few years of its construction, and the school needed to be rebuilt.
Ambassador Srivastava had a conversation with Principal Dawadi after getting the information about the damage caused to the school due to flood. During this, he expressed his commitment that the government of India will do the necessary building construction to bring the school back into operation. After the reconstruction of the school, it is expected that it will be easier to regularize the studies of the students affected by the flood.
