Prime Minister Walendra Shah is going to address the meeting of the House of Representatives today at 1 pm. According to the Secretariat of the Federal Parliament, the Prime Minister is ready to give detailed information to the Parliament about the loss of life and property caused by the recent devastating floods in Rasuwa and the subsequent rescue and relief operations. Last August 10th, the flood in Bhotekoshi river of Rasuwa caused huge human and material damage. Although the Prime Minister did not make a formal address in the name of the nation regarding this disaster, he had been regularly informing about the progress of the government's search, rescue and relief efforts through social media. Due to the fact that the parliament session was not held in the meantime, there could not be a detailed discussion on this issue.
Through today's address, Prime Minister Shah will highlight the overall impact of the floods in Parliament, the current situation in the affected areas, and the government's efforts to help the victims. Earlier, Prime Minister Shah had addressed the parliament on May 17.
