Nepal Oil Corporation has prepared to issue primary shares (IPO) for the general public.
The executive director of the corporation, Umesh Prasad Thani, said that the corporation is preparing to issue an IPO for the public. Speaking at the 28th Annual General Meeting of Nepal LP Gas Industry Association on Tuesday, Executive Director Thani said this.
He said that it took time because after the release of Securities Issuance Regulations 2073, it was amended for the 7th time in 2080 and the regulations were supposed to be profitable in two financial years.
He said that he is committed to issue the IPO for the general public as the IPO can be issued only after the benefit of at least two financial years. He said that the IPO will be issued to make ownership in the corporation even to the common people.
He said that he is ready to make businessmen stakeholders and give IPO to common people. He said that it will take some time as there are various technical aspects.
