Home Minister Sudhan Gurung has expressed his displeasure with the court's intervention in the series of arrests of high-ranking officials and has warned that action will be taken so that no one can escape even if they are within the bounds of the law. Speaking at a press conference held at the Ministry of Home Affairs on Thursday, Minister Gurung clarified his displeasure with the court's decision by saying, "If you don't, the court will leave it." Admitting that they had been preparing all night long to arrest former Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and former Home Minister Ramesh Akhtar, Minister Gurung said that he felt that more preparations were needed for such actions. He informed that he was worried about the developments of high-ranking people being released on the orders of the court and that he was doing a deep legal study about it. "Now I am taking the law," Gurung said firmly, "giving the court a khatra breakfast now."
He reiterated his stand that no one would be allowed to escape from the legal court. "I will not give up, no matter how big it is," Minister Gurung made it clear. He said that his subordinate team is working to collect and submit strong evidence so that the court cannot let go of the accused arrested by the police. Recalling that former Prime Minister Oli suppressed the Genji movement on August 23 and 24, 2052, Gurung made it clear that he is in the role of bringing justice to everyone and that there will be no injustice to anyone during this process. "Oli oppressed us like that yesterday, but I did not do injustice to him either," he said. It is clear from this that Minister Gurung will try to maintain fairness in the legal process despite the past oppression, but will not compromise on its implementation.
