Securities Board Chairman Selection Process: Short list of four candidates announced

Kathmandu. The short list (shortlist) for the appointment of Chairman of Nepal Securities Board has been published. The Chairman Selection and Recommendation Committee of the Nepal Securities Board under the Ministry of Finance issued a notice today through the committee constituted under subsection (3) of Section 7 of the Securities Act, 2063 and released a brief list of qualified candidates. The committee has said that the names of the best 4 people out of 47 people who applied within the specified period have been included in the short list for requesting personal details from the interested persons on 15 Baisakh.
In the short list published by the committee, Dr. Navraj Adhikari, Vinaydev Acharya, Mukund Kumar Chhetri and Dr. Gopal Prasad Bhatt. These four candidates included in the short list have been invited by the recommendation committee for an interview and discussion at the Ministry of Finance, Singh Darbar on Friday 8th June. In this way, after the discussion with the shortlisted candidates and presentation of the action plan, the committee recommends suitable names to the cabinet and the cabinet elects the new chairman of the board.
