The National Human Rights Commission has raised serious questions against the Chairman of the National Liberal Party (RASWPA) Ravi Lamichhane and recommended action against him. According to a recent report published by the commission, the incident of 'unauthorized and illegal' exit from Lamichhane Nakhkhu Prison has been deemed a serious violation of human rights and a criminal offense under Section 49 of the Prisons Act 2079. According to the report, Lamichhane's act of breaking out of prison not only violates human rights but also challenges the legal process. The commission has conducted a thorough investigation in this regard and concluded that legal action should be taken against the culprits.
The Commission has also recommended legal action against Jailer Satyaraj Joshi and MPs Manish Jha and Hari Dhakal who helped to release Lamichhane from prison in this case. The Commission is of the opinion that they should be investigated and made responsible. This subject has been mentioned in detail at page number 28 and 29 of the report.
