More than 10 million recovery from the professor who misused the study leave, the action of the university is fast

Kathmandu, 21 June. Tribhuvan University has intensified financial action against professors who have not returned to service after taking study leave for a long time. After the investigation, more than 104.6 million rupees have been collected from 41 professors and deposited in the pension fund of the university. According to the university, out of 191 professors who went on study leave, 41 have returned the amount due as per the confession. Similarly, 62 people have applied to return the money, and another 54 people have been sent a formal letter for recovery.
After the government and the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology showed interest in the increasing misuse of the study leave facility, the University initiated the investigation and recovery process. The Ministry has instructed to make mandatory recovery of unpaid amount from teachers and employees who do not return to service after taking study leave. At the same time, according to the decision of the University Executive Council dated 25th January 2081, a three-member investigation committee was formed. Committee led by Dr. Kafle has done it and Krishnahari Acharya and Deepak Tiwari are members.
The committee's initial report revealed widespread irregularities in the study leave system. According to the report, about 398 professors have been found to have misused study leave. Among them, 191 did not return to service after study leave and 207 returned without completing their studies. According to the university, a minimum of 1 million to a maximum of 5 million rupees has to be charged from a professor. The entire amount raised so far has been deposited in the university's pension fund.
