The National Human Rights Commission has instructed the government to conduct further investigations on the organizers of the Genji movement, including Sudhan Gurung, chairman of the 'Hami Nepal' organization and member of the House of Representatives. The Commission has taken this step by concluding that there was violent activity against the commitment to remain peaceful during the demonstrations held on August 23 and 24. According to the commission's report, the organizers could not stop the peaceful event from the district administration office even when it turned violent and vandalized. The commission has raised serious questions about the role of the organizers and the intrusion into the performance.
Sudhan Gurung, Purushottam Yadav, Sabal Gautam, Ankit Malla and Khemraj Saud are the presidents of 'Hami Nepal'. According to the commission, they did not fulfill the necessary responsibility to prevent intrusion into the program they organized and prevent the demonstration from turning violent. In its report, the Commission has also considered poor management and weakness of the organizers as a major reason for the damage to public property during the demonstration. It is mentioned in the report of the commission that it is recommended to the government to make the organizers more responsible for such events in the future and to conduct a detailed investigation on these people to reach the depth of the incident.
