Handover to the management of the newly constructed building of the children's hospital with the help of 71 crores from Meen Bahadur Gurung

The newly constructed building on the west side of the Children's Hospital under Kathmandu Institute of Child Health (KIOCH) was recently handed over to the hospital management in a special ceremony. Renowned businessman Meen Bahadur Gurung played an important role in the construction of this state-of-the-art building, which was completed at a cost of around 71 crore rupees. Jagatguru Shankaracharya Shri Vidhushekhar Bharti inaugurated the building in a function held at Budhanilkanth-7, Hepali Height. It is said that businessman Gurung as well as Savitri Gurung, Pahalman Gurung and Sarla Gurung also made invaluable contributions in this huge building work.
On that occasion, Bhatbhateni Group presented the details of the total expenditure of Rs 714 crore 42 thousand 244 for building construction. Former Prime Minister Sushila Karki, the chief guest of the program, expressed her belief that the establishment of this hospital would ensure access to quality healthcare services, especially for the children of the underprivileged. President of the hospital and senior cardiologist Prada Bhagwan Koirala informed that this non-profit organization aims to provide specialized child health services. Businessman Meen Bahadur Gurung emphasized that this hospital was established with the great aim of providing quality and accessible healthcare services to all citizens.
Kathmandu Institute of Child Health is registered as a non-profit company and is functioning as a social organization under the Social Welfare Council. The organization has made an ambitious plan to expand the network of children's hospitals in seven provinces of the country in addition to Kathmandu Valley. This project has been carried forward with the aim of reducing infant and child mortality through quality health services.
