The government has made it clear that only the amount of debt recovered from the troubled cooperatives has been returned to the victim savers. In this context, the problematic Cooperative Management Committee under the Ministry of Land Management, Cooperatives, Federal Affairs and General Administration has drawn attention to the creation of public complaints and confusion about the use of state funds. According to the committee, the amount of small savers with less than 10,000 savings claims of 20 cooperative organizations that have been declared problematic is being returned in a phased manner. So far, a separate 'revolving fund' has not been established for this purpose.
As mentioned in the statement issued by the committee, according to the prevailing legal provisions, the funds received from the debt recovery and asset management from the troubled cooperatives have been continuously used for the purpose of returning the savings to the savers of the respective cooperatives. From this, it is clear that the process of returning the money of the savers in a transparent and lawful manner has progressed.
