Council of Ministers meeting to pass the budget

Kathmandu, June 15. A special meeting of the Council of Ministers has started at the Office of the Prime Minister and the Council of Ministers, Singha Durbar, to approve the budget for the upcoming fiscal year 2083/84.   The budget brought for approval by the Ministry of Finance is being discussed in the Cabinet meeting. According to the constitutional provision, this meeting is being held because there is a mandatory rule to be approved by the Council of Ministers before submitting the budget to the Parliament on 15th May. The Cabinet meeting will finalize and approve the Budget Statement, the Finance Bill, and the Appropriation Bill.

  After the budget was passed by the Council of Ministers, Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagh will leave for New Baneshwar to present the budget in the joint house of the federal parliament. The joint meeting of both houses of the Federal Parliament (House of Representatives and National Assembly) is sitting today afternoon, where Finance Minister Dr. There is a program in which Wagley will read the estimated statement (budget) of the annual income and expenditure for the financial year 2083/84.
