Chance of heavy rain, lightning and hail at these places across the country today

Due to the combined effects of western winds, local winds and the low pressure system developed in the lower atmosphere near eastern Nepal, the weather has changed in most of the provinces of Nepal today and there is a possibility of rain, thunder, lightning, windstorm and hailstorm in some places. According to the next 24-hour weather analysis issued by the Weather Forecasting Division under the Department of Water and Meteorology at 8 am, there will be normal to complete change in the hilly and Himalayan areas of Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini and other Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces throughout the day. It is estimated that there will be a partial change in the Terai region of Far West.

According to the division, there is a possibility of moderate rain with thunder, lightning, gale force and hail at different places of Koshi, Madhesh and Lumbini regions and some places in hilly and Himalayan regions of the country. A few places in Terai region of Bagmati and Gandaki regions are also predicted to receive rain of similar nature. It is seen that the weather will remain active in one or two places in the Far Western Terai. According to the department, there is a possibility of light snowfall along with rain in the high Himalayan and snowfall areas, which may affect mountain travel, agricultural activities and daily life.

Night weather will remain active There are signs that the weather will not improve completely tonight. Normal to full rain will remain in hilly and Himalayan areas of Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces, while partial rain will remain in most areas of Terai. During the night too, there is a possibility of moderate rain with thunder, lightning, gale and hail at some places in Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces and few places in Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces.

More caution is required in these areas According to meteorologists, especially hilly districts, agricultural areas, citizens working in open areas, air and road transport users need to be more cautious. As lightning, wind and hail can affect crops, electricity services, transportation and daily activities, it is requested to take necessary precautions. Impact on agriculture and life Although this weather system has provided relief from the heat in some areas, it has increased the risk of damage to vegetables, fruits and ripening crops due to hail and wind. It is seen that caution should be taken especially in open fields, animal husbandry and construction areas.
